Classic chocolate chip cookies are everyone’s favorite, and here they get a twist with sea salt and dark chocolate.

Makes: 36 cookies
1 cup unsalted butter
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 ½ cups Simply Milled™ Organic or Traditional All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp flaked sea salt, divided
1 cup chopped 70% dark chocolate
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Using electric mixer, beat together butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat in eggs, one at a time, until well blended. Beat in vanilla.
2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and ½ tsp sea salt. Beat into butter mixture. Stir in dark chocolate.
3. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls or scoop onto parchment paper–lined baking sheets. Sprinkle lightly with remaining sea salt. Bake, in batches, for 9 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes on baking sheet. Transfer to racks; let cool completely.
• Add ½ cup chopped dates, dried sour cherries, pecans or walnuts if desired.
